ToonaCat's Online Painting Tutorial
Wait a minute or two before clicking to let all of the images load in the top frame (Try counting to 20 really slowly -- on a slower connection it can take some time to fully load). If after a few minutes you have been patient, and you still don't see anything in the top frame, then you probably don't have the java enabled browser you need to use TC's online painting pages.A Step by Step Introduction is below.
DO ALL ACTIONS IN THE TOP FRAME, PICTURES IN THE BOTTOM FRAME ARE JUST ILLUSTRATIONS. YOU MAY HAVE TO SCROLL THE TOP FRAME TO GET TO THE PALETTE
Picking a Design1. Click the ToonaCat button in the top frame.
Picking a Color
2. Click one time on the brown in the paint palette in the top frame.
Notice How the brush tip now looks brown. The brush shows the color that will fill the design when you click on the online painting.
Using a Color
3. Click the cone part of TC's ice-cream cone in the top frame.
Notice how the cone fills with brown.
Mixing a Color
Now we'll mix a light pink for strawberry ice-cream.
4. To put pink into the mixing palette next to the brush, double click the bright pink in the paint palette in the top frame.
5. Now click one time on the white in the paint palette in the top frame.
Notice how the mixing palette stays pink, and the brush turns white.
6. Now click one time on the white brush in the top frame.
Notice how the pink in the mixing palette gets one shade lighter as the pink is mixed with white.
7. To make the pink even lighter, click one more time on the white brush in the top frame.
8. Keep clicking the white brush until the pink is a nice light strawberry ice-cream color in the top frame.
Using a Mixed Color
9. Once the pink is how you'd like it, click one time on the mixing palette in the top frame.
Notice how the brush is now the custom pink color!
10. Click the ice-cream part of TC's ice-cream cone in the top frame.
That's it!
