ToonaCat's Kids Club was a small, private web site that turned into a huge private web site that was run as a hobby by TC and his cat mama. It encouraged kids from all over the world to do creative work. They posted thousands of stories, poems, and pieces of artwork by kids. They both strongly believed in parental involvement and supervision of kid's internet use -- especially when kids are sending information to strangers (even TC!). So that is why they started having parental registration forms. But TC and his cat mama got flooded with so much mail, that it just got to be too big of a job to keep up with it. Finally, they had to remove the site, it was just too big!
2. Why doesn't ToonaCat answer my email?
ToonaCat no longer has an active email address. If the site ever accepts submissions again we'll re-activate the email address and post that information here!
3. Why wasn't my story/art/poem/book review ever posted?
ToonaCat read and enjoyed every single thing that was sent to the Kids Club, but as ToonaCat's Kids Club became more popular, and lots more kids sent in their creative work, it became impossible to post everything that was sent. (about 1 in 200 went up).
ToonaCat is a cartoon cat based on a real cat whose nickname is ToonaCat.
5. Does a big company make ToonaCat's Kids Club?
No! ToonaCat's Kids Club is a private page made by TC's cat-mama, with a little help from his cat-daddy. All of their work on ToonaCat is done in addition to their regular careers. So please be patient.
6. How did ToonaCat get his name?
ToonaCat is a cartoon that TC's cat-mama used to draw for kids when she was a teacher. The words cartoon and cat ended up as ToonaCat.
7. How old is ToonaCat? When is his birthday?
The real ToonaCat is now 17 years old (which is pretty old for a cat, but he is frisky as a kitten!). His birthday is Sept. 1.

9. Why can't I color online like I used to??
TC's old online painting page used JAVA. JAVA isn't allowed by the current web host of the Kids Club. We have just released the first of our Flash-based online coloring designs.
10.Why don't you have a place to chat?
It can be fun to chat, and TC thinks it is great as long as kids chat with their mom or dad or another adult they know and trust sitting there with them. Sometimes bad people like to pretend to be kids when chatting. Since TC and his cat-mama can't possibly know who might come to chat, they don't want to risk it. Their goal is to make ToonaCat's Kids Club as close to 100% safe for kids as they can.
